Dalton School Japan

Dalton challenges each student to develop intellectual independence, creativity and curiosity and a sense of resopnsibility toward others both within the School and in the community at larg. The educational objective of the Dalton School is to bring out the latent and incredible possibilities in all children. In order to achieve this, appropriate environments must first be provided. For plants to grow properly −sprouting, budding, and then flowering −water, air, sunshine and suitable temperatures are necessary. In a similar way, the Dalton School provides environments that are conducive to learning by becoming aware of each child's learning style. We believe that this is an important stage that will enable young people to become motivated students and adults in future. Through diverse experiences and firsthand encounters, children of the Dalton School can discover their individuality and uniqueness. We believe that children who master the "Joy of Learning" and "Pleasure of Creation" will carve the path for the future, with their own hands.
